Temples at Par with Kashi

This temple is one of the six temples along the banks of the Kaveri which are considered equivalent to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. These temples are :

2. Mahalingeswarar Koil, Thiruvidaimarudur
3. Mayuranathaswamy Koil, Mayiladuthurai
4. Chayavaneswarar Koil, Sayavanam
5. Swetharanyeswarar Koil, Thiruvenkadu
6. Srivanchinadhaswamy Koil, Srivanchiyam
